In New Year's Embrace -Vibhuti Pandey
We emancipate ourselves from mental slavery,
None but we can free your minds.
Bob Marly’s truth remains,
A light for all humankind.
We close our eyes, take a breath,
And witness all within our hearts.
We feel the rhythm, life’s caress,
Each moment ends, another starts.
Like waves that rise and fall away,
We observe the pain, the joy, the fear.
We are the sky, vast and gray,
Each cloud will pass, the path grows clear.
We are the lotus in muddy streams,
Rising pure from murky ground.
Through trials harsh, we build our dreams,
In resilience, our strength is found.
Drops of water slide away,
No dirt can cling, no wound remain.
We triumph through life’s disarray,
And bloom despite its grief or pain.
We imagine, as John Lennon dreamed,
All the people loving, free.
A world united, souls redeemed,
Living in peace and harmony.
We feel the love within our chest,
A radiant light that softly glows.
We send it outward, east and west,
And heal the wounds where anger grows.
We find our voice, we take our seat,
Knowing we are worthy, whole.
With open hearts, we rise to meet
Life’s call, while guarding our sacred soul.
Love is the light within us all,
A flame that warms and gently guides.
In our interconnectedness, we recall
The truth of oneness where love abides.
Through consciousness, we spread this light,
To all beings, near and far.
A radiant glow, soft and bright,
Reminding us of who we are.
Let respect and kindness pave the way,
Consideration guide our tone.
With empathy, we choose to stay,
And build a world where all belong.
Distress, though sharp, can open doors,
To self-awarness, growth, and grace.
Its pain can guide us to restore
Our truest selves, our rightful place.
What will we hold? What will we release?
What stories no longer serve our soul?
What brings us joy? What gives us peace?
What leads us to a life made whole?
With mindfulness, we meet each day,
And honor all we think and feel.
We let self-compassion light the way,
A guiding flame to help us heal.
We thrive when kindness leads our steps,
When inclusion shapes the path we tread.
A meaningful life is one where depth
And giving rise to love widespread.
We embrace our flaws; we let shame dissolve,
Through tenderness, we find our way.
The tangled paths we work to solve
Unravel clearer every day.
We imagine now this new year’s dawn,
A time to heal, to build, to grow.
With wisdom gained, we carry on,
Our inner light begins to show.
We emancipate ourselves, we rise,
We unshackle dreams, we find our voice.
The future’s open, vast, and wise–
Our freedom waits. We make the choice.
